Luau on the Beach

I can't tell you how disappointed I was. There was no roast suckling pig on a spit.

But otherwise, it was the perfect luau. I had a great time.

There must have been seventy-five people present, including four of five of Pine Lake's Finest. Chief Sarai Y'hudah-Green was in civvies.

There was tons of food, most island-inspired-- lots of dishes with pineapple, fresh fruit, fried rice, pasta, and, for desert, two types of cake and chocolate-frosted Rice Krispie treats.

Music was provided by Ex-Mayor Mike Stuckey.

Lots of people dressed for the occasion...

... and leis were available for those who didn't.

The children, big and little, had fun at limbo.

This man was amazing!

But you know the coolest thing of all? It all happened just 200 feet from my house!
